Oskar the Blind Kitten and the Christmas Tree
Please visit and “like” Oskar on Facebook: www.facebook.com/BlindOskar Oskar merchandise is now available, just in time for the holidays: www.cafepress.com/BlindOskar (proceeds from sales will be donated to The Cat House in Lincoln, NE) This video shows Oskar the Blind Kitten — who has been blind since birth — in December of 2011. He is almost 7 months old and weighs approximately 9 pounds in these clips. Video was recorded at our place in downtown Omaha, Nebraska. Oskar was more than happy to “help” Bethany with getting the Christmas tree ready. He was not harmed or hurt in any way in any of the clips, and is as healthy and happy as any loved cat (pretty much spolied, just like Klaus). Thanks for watching! More videos coming soon.

I love the move you pulled at 1:20… I do the same thing with my cats! Trick them into playing with something else so you can get what they’re playing with before it’s too late for them to catch on. Ha!
My cat never ate tinsel (I didn’t know at the time that I shouldn’t have it around him at all), but he liked to play with it. It always made him sneeze when he stuck his nose in it. ;D
he looks so ashamed!
extra income every week?

Oskar is the best!! …….so funny
Can you post a link here to your Oskar Shop? I’ll probably watch this video many times trying to gain your amused perspective as our own rescued kitty, Chester, keeps demolishing our full sized tree…he’s delighted to suddenly find a full sized climbing bar set with dangly shiny things all over it! My gran used to make a wall tree from brown paper, cut it out, then decorate it with cut out images from magazines. I may do that this year at this rate…our tree looks like Rocky Balboa had at it!
@tinselPixie The link is in the info section below the video, and it is: cafepress(dot)com/BlindOskar. We will donate 100% of the profit to The Cat House, a wonderful rescue organization that is helping cats in the Midwest. The wall tree idea actually doesn’t sound too bad with these two mini-demons running around! : )
The shop is brilliant, such a range of products and I love that it supports a good animal shelter. Thanks for the link, I favorited it.
Happy Christmas! You guys are the best!
not even trying to be hateful in any way, but seriously, oskar really looks like David Patterson
Eh ah ever try having a dog?
Love it. More videos please.
I’m willing to bet that if you gave Oskar a bell on his caller, he would learn to get around in the world even better.
Use super glue and/or duct tape to repair the “Christmas” tree leg.
Thank you for sharing. He’s clearly a very sweet kitty. You’re cats are very lucky to have such loving parents.
Aww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a little scamp! I’ve had “seeing” cats to did exactly the same thing to a Christmas Tree! I ended up hanging the tree from the ceiling!!! Happy Holidays!
Its a blessing that he has owners like you =)
Cheers!
but you don’t need to have a blind kitty for them to get this idea
Das ist ja süß
He’s so big compared to the first video!
I love Oskar.. he’s so much fun. I did have to take issue with you calling him naughty after you enticed him to play in the tree. Any sighted cat would have done exactly what Oskar did because you encouraged him (by, if nothing else, not discouraging him) - says the woman who’s entire Christmas tree is covered in cat toys
Tape the two halves of the tree together with electrical tape, then hang it from the ceiling. You can still have a tree. That’s what we do.

You guys should put a little santa hat on Klaus and call him “Santa Klaus” for the holidays!! (or at least until he takes it off after 3 seconds
) p.s. I love Oskar!
